Did anyone see the Cardinals / Mets game from Wednesday Night?
No, I didn't see it either. I'm not a sports fan, in fact the only sport's team I follow are the Indianapolis Colts. But I caught this story from another blog entry about a Mets third baseman who made an honorable choice.
I guess there were some questionable attitudes and actions that night at America's favorite passtime. The Mets pitcher sent a shot at one of the Cardinals' players and in retaliation then, the Cardinal pitcher sent one straight for David Wright's head. Here's the video of the pitch.
David Wright could have done what most players do, and it looked like he thought about it as he took a couple of steps toward the mound. But obviously his "blueberry" voice told him to show great restraint. For that, he gets a wholesome "well done" from me.

A big thank you.
I just wanted to send a big thank you to Kelly St. James from MyStar933. She read a couple of stories she found on the DailyBlueberry.Com and also mentioned the website on Saturday night's program. Give a listen to this 79 second clip...
(if the player doesn't show you can still download the file here.)
Yes the attention to the website was really really nice, but I also loved the fact she shared two great stories. The first was about a 7-year-old boy who saved his mother's life by performing the heimlick maneuver and the other was about a thrift store worker who performed two wholesome acts in one day.

DailyBlueberry Blog
DailyBlueberry.Com is now a little over 6 months old and it's time. It's time for using every "descent" means possible to promote these "wholesome news headlines."Why would I want to read a "wholesome news headline?"
Simple. Eating a wholesome bowl of blueberries is healthier than eating a bowl of candy. We believe then, reading a website of wholesome news headlines that appeals to being good and doing good is healthier than reading the "candy" headlines that appeal to...fear, sex, money, shock, divisions, etc.
Yes, we acknowledge blueberries don't taste as good as candy and that sometimes candy is okay. The goal here, though, is a healthier mind. We hope that by adding these news headlines to your daily routine that you'll see benefit to your mind and surroundings. We're hoping you'll see a more positive outlook, gain better perspective to the world around you and desire to imitate or create "wholesome news headlines" yourself.
